Amazon Studios Inks First-Look Deal With Mythos, New Company Launched By Sean Daniel, Jason Brown & Kathy Lingg

Amazon Studios has closed a first-look deal with Mythos, a new company established by long-time producing partners Sean Daniel and Jason Brown of The Sean Daniel Company (Expanse, The Witcher) and Bad Robot veteran Kathy Lingg (Westworld, Person of Interest) .

Launched at the beginning of 2018, Mythos — a film and TV company with a streaming focus — aims to attract high-level creative talent and to concentrate on globally recognized intellectual properties from the world of fiction, video games, comic books, anime and more. The bulk of the company’s development for Amazon Studios will be via the studio’s event series division launched a year ago to generate big scope, big event genre series — hourlong science fiction, action, fantasy and horror series.
